Hi there, this is the first I time I got a Flash SMS message, how do I block and report the sender Impala Cash Loans? If I go into the SMS Toolkit, it does nothing.

It says:

IMPALA Cash offer Loan at 6% interest rate with no Credit check Blacklisted also
Whatsap or call 0739476748 visit our
website:https://www.impalacashloans.co.za/

Flash SMS messages seem like a dangerous way to take over someone's phone. What's more annoying is I have a private DNS adblocker set so I don't get ads, and less chance of malware compared to others; I don't even install apps anymore, just the necessities.

This is an issue on Vodacom as well.

One must be able to disable Push Notifications somewhere, but at this moment I am not sure what the steps are.

I get this kak on MTN as well. Sometimes the message is from MTN themselves. So I'm almost certain the operator is involved in this...

Having the same issue on MTN and Vodacom. Nothing can be done.

All the ones I have been getting were from MTN themselves, maybe mybb can do an article on them and pressure the operators to stop spamming us...

Think I (hopefully) figured it out on MTN.

So it's been about 2 weeks and can confirm this seems to work.

Used to receive this kak daily, haven't gotten anything so far...

Anyone know how to deal with this for other networks like Telkom? If I search for it, the first result is my own post here.

Have you meticulously gone through absolutely all the menu options on *180# as well as *188# to see if they have hidden away any unsubscribe option?

Ja, there's nothing there. I contacted Telkom Support and they don't understand what Flash SMS Messages are, which is Class 0 Messages that are meant to be used for broadcasting messages like emergency messages by a network.

Telkom Support said they spoke to the tech team and they can't block it; but they're lying. Which tech team is up at 07:20 and listening to Support?
