Hi guys,

I'm interested in ordering FTTH, but unfortunately my area only has access to Telkom fibre. I've made the choice to go with the Telkom 100Mbps 200Gig softcap package (with free night surfer) - everywhere on MyBB I see it states R1599/pm.

I went to order via Telkom's website, but while entering my details I started doubting whether I selected the correct package/deal.

The package in question "100Mbps Fibre" (http://www.telkom.co.za/today/shop/home/plan/prod-100mbps-fibre/) shows no details about the data package (200Gig softcap) and only mentions the 100Mbps linespeed.

The other option I found on Telkom's site was the "100Mbps Fibre + Voice Data Bundle" (http://www.telkom.co.za/today/shop/home/plan/100mbps-fibre-voice-data-bundle/) where it makes full mention of the linespeed, data package, etc. but it costs R1699/pm.

I'm note sure which package to choose and will appreciate any assistance.

Thanks! :)

Telkom's website is rubbish. I believe the 100Mbps is still R1599/pm but will now come with double the data until March 2016. If you already have a copper service with Telkom and want to keep your landline you can get the voice bundle. But personally I would go for another operator for VOIP if it makes sense considering your current setup

Vox has a good bundle including a free Supafone which you can migrate your Telkom number to

Why don't you consider getting your Telkom FTTH from ISP Afrika. You get the 100mbps line and 10gb of data from them for R729pm (no contract). Then I went with afrihost fro my data portion, in your case Afrihost offers 200GB + unlimited night time data for R400. Add them together and you pay R1129pm (saving line R500 bucks) and you can change your line and data portions as you please just like you would do with your ADSL line.

I was on a tight budget, and got 10mbps line from ISPAfrika and 100Gb from afrihost for a total of R669pm. And I can change my ISP whenever i want - no contracts.

Damn, I just noticed after sending that this is quite an old feed...:( my bad! myBB suggesting stuff from noah's ark...
