Telkom: Getting a land line reactivated

Hi guys

Not sure where this really goes, but anyway...

If you cancel a Telkom land line, how much of a mission is it to get it reactivated/re-enabled?

Also, what happens to the telephone number once a line has been canceled? Will that remain the same once it's reactivated?

You'd probably just have to apply for a new line but it'd presumably be quicker since there's no physical installation to do. Doubt you'd get the same number but you never know.

depends on how long it's been when it comes to the same number being available ..... I've scored and got my old number back (between 2-4 months off) and then a few times, got given a new number (between 6-10 months). Maybe if your area isn't very 'busy', you'll get the same number back ...... just apply like normal and wait
