Telkom 'in talks with pay-TV provider'

Don't see the point of the last sentence:

Shares in Telkom declined 0.46 percent yesterday to R43.70

The share is currently trading at R44.50

Telkom would launch mobile business at a time when interconnection rates were expected to fall - a boost to its operations.

Interesting....For the first time I am thinking that maybe Telkom's entrance into the mobile market might have something to do with government's sudden urgency to drop the interconnection rates and in so doing making life easier for their baby Telkom (38% shareholding)...

I've been having the exact same thought for a while.. I mean, it's not a campaign year so guavamunt may actually have to follow up on all this talk theirs.
