Telkom International Bandwidth

Hi Guys,

I'm running off Linton Grange exchange in Port Elizabeth. My line syncs at 10MB. But for some reason the last three months international bandwidth has slowed down so much that UTube grinds to halt and buffers the whole time. It's not worth doing anything like streaming video,streaming audio, skype etc. Regular surfing is like a 384 line.

It looks as if Telkom is throttling bandwidth. Not sure if its a faulty DSLAM or whatever in the exchange

Anybody have a similar expereince with Telkom from the same exchange or other ones in SA.? What's the use they give you 20GB and you can't use it?

Is there perhaps something I can call telkom support to change on my line?

Linton Grange is definitely not congested.

Only two thirds of the dslam is in use. Massive fibre routes outbound in multiple directions.

Have a Telkom and Afrihost account and both are slow on international. I wonder if the fault is not on the DSLAM. Pay a lot of money and not getting the benefit. Since you getting the right kinda speeds then its not congestion. And to phone telkom tech support mmmmm rather take a bullet in the head.Would be less painfully
