Telkom - international http problems?

Hi,

I am on a Telkom 192 ADSl, and today I have severe problems reaching international sites. Most of them give me a 504 gateway timeout. I am definitely not throttled (unless the bandwidth usage monitor is really screwed up, it shows a usage of 2.4GB with a 3GB cap). Is anyone else having these problems?

Are you using the SAIX online bandwidth monitor?

My guess is they've just messed up somewhere. Any response from the tech dept?

Uhmm, where do you get these notices?

EdRobinson: I didn't bother to contact the tech dept yet. Just wanted to see if there is anything up in general. It's not a matter of life and death.

You can(?) subscribe to an email service on http://www.saix.net/cgi-bin/saix_notices.pl


One used to be able to log in there too, but as as part of Telkom's customer centric policy this has been blocked.
