Telkom Internet ADSL connectivity issues

Well, I had something similar today. In my case http was activated in Peerblock and created the problem. I'm not sure why the problem cropped up today. This was the normal setup and it always used to work fine.
 
Turns out to be a password synchronization error @ Telkom. Telkom insisted the client change their password but some update on the admin side got mixed up. I think I have however run into a problem on top of a problem on top of another problem scenario. After the password issue was sorted out (funny how the account partially worked... even with this issue) everything worked sportingly but there were still speed issues and delays issues which turned out to be router related. Swapped that out and hoping for the best. :)

Thanks to the folks who did respond but nobody could have foreseen this. It was the perfect storm. At least in my microcosm.

Another odd thing is, that I took the "broken" router home and is now working on it and it is working fine. Thinking it was just the wrong router for the wrong home and line? :D Sounds funny but I honestly do think some hardware just doesn't like certain conditions. I do however think that D-Link could well be making better routers than Edimax (the sensitive one) routers.
