Last month I got capped a bit earlier than expected. To keep me online for the rest of the month, I wanted to get a prepaid ADSL account from WebAfrica, but my dad phoned Telkom Internet and just got an account from them
. My dad told me that the operator said that it was a prepaid account. AFAIK, Telkom Internet doesn't sell prepaid accounts though. My dad isn't too clued up on anything when it comes to computers, so I think he might have misunderstood the operator. I'm not 100% sure though. So, my first question is:
"Does Telkom Internet sell prepaid accounts?"
It's just that, with 2.7561 GB usage for this month (0.7561GB over the supposed "prepaid" cap), it doesn't seem like a prepaid account.
To me, the ability to go over the cap is an indication that this is either a regular ADSL account or a pay-as-you-go account. Therefore my second question is:
"Does Telkom Internet sell pay-as-you-go accounts?"
There are 2 reasons why I am worried about this:
- I think Telkom may have just charged my dad for this additional account for last month and this month (because it is just a regular ADSL account).
- If I start downloading a lot of stuff now, I don't want to end up paying for it all because I am on some pay-as-you-go account (one where you pay per meg after cap).
Thanks in advance for any replies.
