Mybb site, forum and speedtest all hang on loading when it happens. Its happened too often for me to be a coincidence, so, somehow, somewhere it has to be related/sideffect. Olx I only noticed earlier, so will confirm over next few downtimes.

I'll drop support a mail and pm you. Thanks for taking the time to help, I do appreciate it
 
Is there an ETA on cancer-free internet?
Is it going to stay like this overnight?

That's not the way it is supposed to be, and we are working on fixes with our vendors. The first attempt to address it broke too many things, so even though we know the cause and are confident we can put the fixes in without impact, we will have to take a bit more time on them this time (and also wait for some other planned changes in the network).

Just to confirm, olx is one that goes down with google youtube etc. Happened in 'usual' time slots today 8'ish and now 11.30'ish... back up at around 11.50am. Stackoverflow is another one I was meant to add last week, so, for me, google, youtube, mybb, olx, stack overflow. All go down at roughly same times everyday. Other sites run fine.
 
Im having the same issue as others. At roughly 1:45pm, almost every day, youtube, google, gmail sites just die. No other sites have problems, just google related ones.

Tracerts show everything is fine though.

Yep had the same issues , thought it was just me . Sometimes resetting the router fixes it

A favour please, when it happens to you again, can you test out olx.co.za and stackoverflow.com and let me know. I seem to have a few sites affected when google/youtube goes down daily and as Ranger said it doesn't fit so I'm trying to figure out why.

I tested it after reading your problem and both OLX and stackoverflow worked fine
 
I'm struggling to stream news on the very lowest setting.

No bandwidth on this account!

I used to be able to stream very well and browse at the same time (listening in background).

Now streaming is buffering, and if I click to browse this forum, the streaming immediately halts until the page has loaded. Then it continues until it buffers every 10s or so.

This account reminds me of the Axxess R99 account for browsing only. {That was discontinued}

Thanks, was hoping it wasn't just me... not sure why google dies for many, but mine gets google+ other sites (see what I did there ;))

Change planned for 00h15 tonight, there may be some misprioritisation until 00h45 as a result of the change, but should allow us to see if the same behaviour occurs at 001h00.
 
Hi, would one of you kind sirs/ladies, be able to tell me about the Telkom Business Uncapped Premium+ account, is there a rolling window period / star system / threshold....I would like to know the limit on this account before I decide to move to Telkom as my ISP...

Not sure how many on this thread actually subscribe to TI's business package, but from the standard home package, before throttling kicks in, you can do :

+/- 150GB on 2MB
+/- 200GB on 4MB
+/- 300GB on 10MB

Those are/were the thresholds as far as I can recall. That may or may not have changed, maybe someone else here can provide more clarity. Saying that, if you schedule your downloads between midnight and 7am (nightsurfer time), it has zero impact on your usage, meaning it doesn't count toward the above thresholds, so if you plan accordingly, you can do a helluva lot more on those accounts.
