Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

11:10am - 10MB Telkom uncapped ... unable to stream 240p video from Youtube. WOW, THIS SUCKS!

If that was in Gauteng, that was due to a Telkom Wholesale /Openserve transmission failure that took out half the IPC links for half an hour. I don't think we have been informed of the cause yet.

There was a cable break in Eldoreign causing intermittent failures between 11h00 and 13h00. DFA confirmed at 13h00 that the cable was fully restored.
 
Guess that points to a problem at your exchange, try logging a fault online - that usually results in a port reset within a short period of time which might fix the problem.

Second day without internet I spoke to someone at the Milnerton exchange seems they having major problems after they done maintenance at the exchange .
ADSL services in the milnerton h5b1 isam 1 (021551-021552, 021555) area may be inaccessible due to an outage. Logged on : 20-Nov 08:11

Guys is there issues on TI in JHB north or are they working on anything. For a few nights now been having bad speeds and router is disconnected when i wake in the morning. Thanks
 
Either Telkom has no clients left or things are going rather well............
Network has been performing well but support is another matter, they've been investigating why TI Tracker doesn't work for me for over a month now:

We are still experiencing technical sytem issues with the usage tracking tool. The matter has been escalated to the relevant department

... guess it's easier to fix a system error than a "sytem" one :)

it seems like since they implemented variable sync in my area my line keeps dropping when the sync occurs, anyone else with this issues?

There is no issue on my line, telkom tech was at my place yesterday. we swapped routers but same issue occurs.

Any idea?

Best to PM TelkomZA, I think Charl has been kept pretty busy with similar issues so it might take a while before he can adjust your profile.
 
Who can I contact regarding useless speeds since last night? I think I might just need a port reset.

I have rebooted my router but it does not help. I had a power outage last night and since then my line has been running under 60kb/s.

If by support you mean me, I think I provided the logs to the developer, and to me it looked like this was specific to users with the Mobile data (but I couldn't reproduce on my own account which is similar).

There is a tracker deployment logged for tomorrow, not 100% sure if this is one of the bug fixes (there are features and bug fixes going in, I've been most involved with the new features).
