It's a pity the call centre is not accountable.

I'm now getting text messages sent to my landline saying someone is trying to reach me, but they aren't actually dialing the phone. I've never seen such wierd 'service' from any company in my life!

Please lets not waste bandwidth on the call centre in this thread ...

If you want to, please start a different thread so I can ignore it. I have enough headaches from them during office hours ...

Imagine if all the ISP's decided we couldn't discuss their call centre. Why stop there, lets not mention their billing systems or their hardware like modems.

I am asking just for this thread, which is specifically about our uncapped products. We hardly ever touch on any of the other topics you mention in this thread, because they are also off-topic.

Now maybe *if* your call centre experience had relevance to our *uncapped product* it would be on topic, but line faults also aren't on-topic in this thread.

One of the uses of this thread is for potential customers to gauge what the service is like. The impression left here (apart from your reputation falling) is that there will be difficulties resolving problems with uncapped, and that you would have to use Facebook and Twitter to get anything sorted. Your uncapped internet can go down for hours and nobody would be able to tell you why and should you reach the internet section, they won't bother calling back to tell you either.

If you're happy with that, then perhaps I can recommend a sojourn in Zimbabwe where you can experience this type of service more often.

Maybe if you comprehend what ranger is communicating with you and also the intention of THIS thread, you will understand that your moaning about your ADSL service in this thread will get ignored.

Was your telephone line working (did you get dial tone, could you make calls) at the times you were complaining about the internet being off?

Secondly, you can get Telkom-related issues resolved here (e.g. contact TelkomZA by PM), but for some regulatory reasons I believe Telkom Internet-specific staff may not have access to line-related aspects. The call centres support Telkom ADSL (retail), regardless of whether you use a Telkom Internet account, and thus are supposed to support some line-related aspects, but no matter what we do at Telkom Internet, we can't help them do their job better.

I don't believe TelkomZA is monitoring this thread, I am, so it is counter-productive to discuss call-centre support of ADSL lines or telephone lines here. You are just wasting your (and my) time. This is why I would prefer you start a separate thread, or post in the TelkomZA thread.

It would be similar to asking an MTN coverage question in the Afrihost Mobile thread.

You guys seem to forget that Telkom Internet is a separate entity to Telkom. There are regulatory issues involved here and the other ISPs love having a go at TI where they can if it looks like TI has some cross pollination with Telkom.

Really, take your crap elsewhere as you are actually just trolling at this stage in a thread that is not applicable to your issues.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before on this thread.. Spoke to Telkom today. Softcap on a 4mb uncapped account (Telkom IPS) is 100gig.
