Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

Prepare for long queues in shops, since the 10210 system isn't working & they have removed the dedicated line from stores.

Thank you guys - Yeah I tried navigating the web portal on Telkom.net, what a nightmare. And no obvious option for upgrade either. On hold at the moment.

Who runs a business like this? Other than Eskom that is.

Thanks MickeyD, I did see that however a bit worried about being double billed as there is no obvious place to remove current packages.

I've actually managed to get through after 20 minutes of holding (after seeing my boss hold for over an hour earlier regarding a line move) so problem hopefully solved within 24 hours.

Can't authenticate in PE either.
This is happening like once a week now.

TI & Telkom as a whole is pretty fscked at the moment. I suffered with the authentication thing for 26hrs an the the next day (yesterday) adsl connectivity just dies somewhere after 15:00 and only comes back this morning.

Hate to see this especially with how close you are :).

We were out between 15:55 and 18:00 with everything working fine once i switched the router on. I also randomly do reboots when i saw your issue and nothing to report having not connected for long periods of time :(. Fingers X you get sorted.

Could this be equipment related?

I'm linked to an IMAX and have never had the issue.

2 PE users here are linked to the same ISAM and both have had issues.

24 minutes and counting to reconnect after this afternoons blackout.

EDIT - more than 27 minutes to authenticate. :(

UPS's kept the network going through our 12:00 outage so there was no need to authenticate.

Haven't had any problems reported but most non-PE East Cape clients are only scheduled for outages this evening under stage 2.

Connected immediately here.

Puzzling.

But I do know that local management are aware of it.

It's only after blackouts that it takes so long - usually it's in the 2-3 minute range. I've preemptively switched my router over to the backup power now so I dont have to deal with it again later.

Tested authentication just now after the outage and it came up on the first attempt. This was after switching off the modem & IPCop firewall/router for 5 mins.

... of course people might have better things to do on a Saturday night than climb onto the internet - gamers excluded :D

I'm not even going to risk it. I'll wait a few hours.
