Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

Ranger, is Dota 2 (it is on a new engine which redesigned its networking component) still being recognised as gaming traffic?
I don't know what you use to determine if its gaming traffic so let me know if you need any information to check.

It feels like if someone streams a video that they are getting higher prioritisation than my game.

I think video has the same priority...It is rather annoying when you live with someone who watches videos at peak gaming hours -_-.

By default we only do 'aggregate' prioritisation, IOW your gaming traffic prioritised over someone else's video stream.

If you enable the prioritisation feature on tracker, then we also prioritise your gaming traffic over *your* video streaming.

If you did have it enabled, that could indicate that there is a problem with the identification of DoTA as gaming traffic.

Prioritisation is set up in the tracker. It definitely works for videos against regular http downloads (as well as torrents, usenet etc.). It did not 'feel' like it was working for my game though.

Problems tonight in Equestria. it also happened on Sunday. I was thinking it was due to the netflix hours (5-8pm), but it seems that there is something bigger wrong:

I had a look in the console and it seems the port varies (using DotaTV as an example) everytime.
It was:
185.25.182.28:28117 on first connect
146.66.155.50:28049 on second connect

Is anyone having issues with P2P since yesterday? Using other ISP's (Afrihost and Web Africa), they run fine at full line speed, but with TI, I'm lucky if they go past 80kb/s. It's odd. This happens all the time, even during Midnight surfer.

I can't remember if you have sent me your username; can you PM it to me and the next 2 or 3 rough times you will be playing, so we can investigate that?

Internet (Telkom isp) down in Lonehill. The only thing I Can do over wifi is WhatsApp strange enough

Also down in Pretoria. ADSL connection fine, Telkom ISP connection dead. All OK using Afrihost.

Yep, exactly the same here in Centurion, Telkom ISP shows it is connected but nothing happens, Afrihost working perfectly. Hope this doesn't last long...

Telkom capped account and also down. :(

Using a free account in the interim.

I just cannot imagine during my most positive moments how one can give Telkom ISP good feedback while they are screwing up dsl for all other users to begin with.... lol

(10mb uncapped) Browsing is slow and unresponsive in Pta area. Switching to a capped Afrihost solves this...

Telkom network congestion?

You do know that Telkom Internet (the ISP) is not part of Openserve or Telkom Wholesale and that they operate just like any other ISP? No preferntial treatment... in fact they get worse treatment than their competitors get from TW and Openserve!!
