Telkom Internet Capped/Uncapped User Feedback (Pt2)

Just a heads up, if you can actually get to this forum. Major break on OpenServe transmission network affecting everything from the Free State and further north as well as KZN in the East

Cape Province seems to be the only ones with Internet access tonight.

How can it be a physical hardware issue, when afrihost and other ISPs are fine.
 
This is the second time in a short period that tekom isp has been completely down for hours.
I had to buy 40 gigs from webafrica.

Vumatel can't finish my area soon enough.
 
Sigh. Cant even auth now, after unusable speeds all day.

As per normal, telkom saying their scripted bull**** about how its this or that, when reality they either have no idea what they are doing, or are scamming us.
 
Durban still up here unless anyone else can confirm otherwise. I think its this change over that is happening. Same happened a couple days ago as someone mentioned above, Telkom went down across SA then again recently. Yesterday I couldn't access telkom portal but now I can, so I think its some gremlins in their upgrades...

Mine is also working here in Durban but some areas in Durban, well it's down.

My internet has been offline for a few hours, only managed to come back on now, but I'm having huge DNS issues on many sites. Some resolve, others don't. Frustrating as hell.

I'm in New Germany on 4 Meg uncapped. Speedtest works ok on Mybb site, others it wont even connect to.
Can access Gmail, but not Facebook. Can access Mybb but not Telkom fault reporting :P
 
The transmission break has been restored, so all should be functional again
 
a little surprised that there isn't more feedback regarding outage, typicall us safas just take the ***** and let companies walk all over us with bad / non existent service

or is someone at mybb still writing?

I saw all the tweets and information on Twitter, 3 HOURS after the net died, and then the lame tweet saying we recharging reach us in office hours, but you just tweeted me that you can't tweet mmmmm :crylaugh:

I'm looking at FEEDBACK REGARDING OUTAGE as per my post! next time read a post twice before you reply perhaps! COME ON ...
