It is a local server so a cable break shouldn't affect it? Why have Telkom and mweb still not sorted out their peering! It's like two small children fighting...
 
Anybody else experience more or less zero internet activity during peak times at night (from about 6PM till about 10PM).

Yes, likewise. I switched to my vox fatpipe capped account and it wasn't much better. Just this last weekend though - has been fine otherwise. I suspect we'll hear something broke somewhere eventually.

Battle.net, Steam and Uplay all local servers?
 
Softcap here in Cape Town is completely screwed since the beginning of September.

I don't use it as my primary account so it doesn't really bother me, but thought I'd point it out. This account used to be super stable, now latency is out of control during peak times.

Something is definitely up, in the day my ping is fine but at night from about 6pm onwards, my ping goes really high, congestion?

Really annoying, tried rebooting the router, still getting ***** pings. ****!?
 
Yeah something is not well in tha land of TI when it comes to latency, download speeds are however fine.
 
In Bloem its also gone belly up. The very few times I need to do something on the internet at about 8-9PM, the internet is dead.
 
Yip noticed slow responses to sites yesterday. Streaming was however fine.

I wish TI Capped could go back to how it was ±2 years ago. Some of the best bandwidth quality in SA back then. Seriously been up and down since then.
 
Have to agree high pings in the evenings the rest is good wonder if Telkomza can give us some info will ask him on twitter.

Got this from telkomza today

Also please note there is a planned migration over to a new MSAN DSLAM on 2015/10/09 07:00:00 AM - 2015/10/09 12:00:00 PM. Which would most likely help your situation.

Not really clued up on this if its area specific or not but if it helps Im happy :)
 
Ping was 400ms to sa dota server last night. Tweeted Telkom to see what they say...
