Telkom Internet Usage Tracker Is Hosted Outside SA?

https://secure.telkomsa.net/titracker, looks like its hosted outside South Africa now, I can't access it on local.


What on earth are they doing?

I can still access it on my local cap.

Did you try and reload a couple of times? It eventually works for me if i reload about 4 or 5 times.

Working now had to refresh it a grand total of 4 times, I suspect it does not like Google Chrome alot.

In the past there have been problems when a developer does something stupid like put a SSL certificate widget on the page, which calls an international site, and the browser waits for the widgets JS to load before rendering the page ...

But, no, the site is local, one hop (1ms) from SAIX.

ping me if you do find any issues with tracker or topup when on local only.

I would be interested to know if http://www.do.co.za works adequately on local, I suspect there are parts that might be broken, and since it was decided to make that the primary access point for the tools, I wouldn't mind knowing while the developers for do.co.za are still looking at post implementation issues ....
