Telkom JHB down?

cant get into my axxess accounts, the line synchs fine though but cant browse. Getting the diagnose connection option in ie8 on windows 7

Yes, I am one of those effected isp's. There is an authentication problem since last night. Guess what. It is not even on their internal notice board. Thus if one of my clients call in to report the problem, they blame it on the ISP. WONDERFULL service you bunch of idiots!
 
IS Jhb connectivity issues

Just had to spend 8 minutes holding for Axxess Call Centre (online tickets no use - yeah I can get to their site with local-only account - they take DAYS to respond to tickets, so much for their mybroadband award). IS Jo'burg is having connectivity problems according to the call centre agent. I asked about a notice board or something - but he said they don't have any.

What's the best place to look for notices about ADSL issues? Except mybroadband of course ;).
 
working now again ...

the call centres should have a message on their IVR systems of network faults when they do occur... saves me as the customer time and saves their company money with less calls coming into the call centre ... but nooooooooo they choose not to
 
Hi guys

We have also been experiencing an influx of calls with regards to clients on IS accounts not being able to connect.

I have contacted IS to confirm if there is a problem and they can’t confirm that there is, however they are investigating the matter and will inform us of any developments.

There is no official notice from IS that they are experiencing problems hence the reason we cannot upload a message onto our IVR to inform our clients.

I will update this thread accordingly if I have any news from IS.

Hi guys

I have again been in contact with IS and they have informed me that there were no outages yesterday.

The general issuse seems to have since been resolved and clients seem to be connecting as normal again.

I will keep my ear to the ground and update the thread if I hear of any possible outages on the IS network.
