Telkom June/July ADSL speed increases

My line is acting very erratically in Durban/Berea, some say it may be upgrades?

205..... no MSAN for that area yet i see plenty fixing of underground cables in that area while travelling there .
Non for 201.....either

Anyone in the Durbanville (Sonstraal Heights) area that know if something is happening or when it will?

If something is suppose to happen (ie. speed upgrades) it will happen when it is suppose to happen. Just hang in there...

Spoke to telkom Customer support and they say upgrades will happen from August 24, that is Ladysmith KZN. No idea when the rest of the country will get theirs :)

Spoke to technician and looks like they upgrading Hout bay (valley road ) from 4 meg .doing it of weekend 21 July .dont understand how telkom not done it before as it is quite a wealthy area and should not have a problem with demand for Internet

I was hoping for upgrades to be finished the 1st of August :(

hmmm i wonder if my intermittent internet problems have been caused by upgrades to the sunninghill exchange? here's hoping.

I have a 1-mbps Telkom line, with Telkom as my ISP. I've been checking speeds using SpeedTest.net every week or so, and today I got the below results, i.e. download @ 133.4 KB/sec.

This result is slightly higher than the usual +/- 107 KB/sec I usually get, but it still confirms that Telkom has not yet upgraded the lines to 2-mbps for mahala.

I know it is only supposed to be upgraded as from August, but I live in hope!
