Telkom.. Latency

Am I selfish for being annoyed that I have to switch to my Afrihost account when ever I want to play a game ?
Or for wanted to pay for only 1 Internet provider for data + acceptable gaming performance.

Just did a speedtest.net + the Telkoms speed test.
Giving me 400/350 ping respectively.

After switching to Afrihost ~ 23 ping

It's not even acceptable at the moment.

Is everyone in SA having telkom issues? or just Port Elizabeth
 
please log a fault and insist on a fault ref. Make sure that they understand that it is THEIR NETWORK faulty and not your home setup, ergo no techie to visit your property (and get charged for an unnecessary call out).
 
same scenario as torrents - you cannot get any speed with Telkom but Afrihost flies on same torrent - throttling!!
 
For best results from Telkom, tweet them. They have good people watching that account and respond quickly and usually resolve the issues pretty fast too.

Well my line is fine in PE and has been for many months.

TelkomZA (the rep here on MyBB) also handles the twitter. hellopeter, etc. accounts...
 
Not just PE, Its a Telkom ISP issue in my opinion. When I want to play online I also switch from my account to a Axxess prepaid account.
