what pisses me off is i dont mind cellphone contracts. realistically speaking you pay the cellphone off after 2 years - the length of the contract. with this telkom contract you basically pay the pc off after only 6 or 7 months, and then you stuck in a contract for the remaining 30 months paying R700+ per month just for internet access.

indeed - this pc deal is really going to screw people over, cellphone regulation is retarded, try get us cheaper calls but why remove the freaken free phones when we wont see cheaper calls neways..

I myself doesn't mind in signing a 2-year contract with Vodacom, as long as I get a new cellphone at the beginning of the contract, and have little or no hassles with their services (though they may be a bit expensive...)

And why is prepaid more expensive than a contract? You pay for a cell on contract, not on prepaid...

If they start to stop bundling "free" cellphones with contracts, then the contract prices sure will have to drop as you're not "paying" for your brand-spanking new MP3/radio/camera/vibrator cellphone.

I want to be a pain in Tekkom's behind - wanna purchase this baby, then call them every single day with an imaginary problem - as computer technician I have a complete catalogue of stupid problems to try out on Tekkom...

As for my commentary:

I am pretty sure that this computer Telkom supplies will be a second-rate piece of junk sold at an effective sum of R7k. It will probably be some old processor with little RAM and unheard-of Chinese motherboard with some "FEIXING" brand chipset. A long time ago a girl I was dating at the time got caught like this by Morkels... they made them pay R7k for a machine with an AMD Duron 700MHz CPU, 128mbytes/ram, Windows 98 Gold and the cheapest, sh1ttest mouse I have ever seen, all in a flimsy nonstandard case. That thing used to give blue screens even if you sneezed nearby.
