Telkom Line Fault

- Telkom voice line is dead, but crackles every few seconds.
- Calling the line results in a "line busy".
- ADSL syncs intermittently, but is mostly unusable. Extremely bad line stats.

I wonder how long until Telkom decide to attend to this. I highly doubt they would need to dispatch a technian to my premises as I am guessing it is not an issue my side.
 
What this highlights is that there is no knowledgeable management in place anymore to guide the fault finding process.

You can't simply move the service from one pair to another without ensuring the pair is plugged into the correct port.
