Telkom Line is dead

I woke up on Sunday morning to find that my land line was dead. I picked up the receiver and heard nothing. I tried a different phone, but it was still dead. I phoned Telkom and waited 2 hours listening to their music and eventually got a reference number. They told me that a technician will be at my house yesterday (a Sunday nogal). It never happened. I phoned again today and they promised me that a techie will be here this morning, guess what, he never came. I'm still waiting.

So what do you think caused this problem? When they did the test they tell me they get a signal that the line is busy? When I phone my own number the line gives a busy signal. What the heck is going on?

Fault at the exchange, they don't even need to come to your house...

Just call them every single day untill they do something about it i guess.

I have the same problem...dead line. We reported it on Saturday, they came and fixed it Sunday and 5 minutes after the techician left it was dead again. SO irritating!
