Because fibre is not available here, I am using Rain uncapped data for my LTE router which means I don't have data between 6pm and 11pm. I am downloading subtitles using my cell phone. I want to copy the subtitle file from my phone to the LIT so I can watch movies downloaded previously using Kodi as a media player on my LIT (very complicated)Can't you get the result you want by casting video from your cell phone to the LIT box?
Yes but I have the .srt file on my phoneSo you want to integrate the subtitles file into the movie folder?
I have tried connecting the phone to the LIT using a USB cord but the LIT doesn't see the phone.Yes but I have the .srt file on my phone
Is there any way to copy the .srt file from my cell phone to a USB stick?Put the .srt file on a USB stick, insert in LIT box.
Lit box doesn't seem to see my phone when I enable tetheringEnable tethering on your phone via WiFi, connect lit box, then download from within Kodi.
I have an OTG adapter but I am only able to copy files from USB to phone and not from phone to USB
I will try that and let you knowYou could try emailing the file as an attachment - open Puffin browser or suchlike on the LIT box and see if you can use ES File Explorer or another file manager to get the file off your email
Or can you use Bluetooth to transfer the file?
Excuse my ignorance but please can you elaborate on the above? What TV app (Play Store)Send Files to TV app on both the Lit and Android device (Play Store).
From the sending device, use the share button and select Send Files to TV. Can't get any easier.
Edit: No configuration needed.
Edit2: the app must be open on receiving device
