What works well for me (I have several Litboxes that need access to files from time to time) is the file manager on the Play Store called Xplor. This file manager can create a folder link to your Dropbox or Google Drive accounts. You sign in once and then voila you have easy access to your cloud storage which shows up as normal folders inside Xplor. So from my phone I always upload content whether it's APK files, movies, MP3s etc etc to my Google drive which I then access from within Xplor on the Litboxes. Works well.

I use Solid Explorer and start an ftp server on the Lit. Then with Solid Explorer on my phone I connect to the ftp server on the Lit.

Easy copy and paste between 2 panes.
