Telkom LTE Smartbroadband Increase?

Hi Guys

So a few years back I signed up for this deal which included an outside antenna, contract expired about three or four years ago so I'm on a month to month contract, this morning I received my April invoice and I noticed it went up from R529.00 to R619.00

Can anyone confirm the increase on this package?

Applied for fibre late on Wednesday afternoon. Was called by Vumatel minutes later to schedule installation.
Installation crew arrived just before 9am on Thursday morning and installed the line having noted that they were not picking up a signal from the access point outside the property.
Router was delivered on Friday morning.
Could only get going with work after 15H00 owing to loadshedding and people working on geyser between 11 and 12am. Noted that only the power led on the fibre box was shining.
Sent a message to Afrihost during the evening to ask them if they could find out from Vumatel when the access point problem would be attended to.
Vumatel representative called on Saturday morning to ask whether he could come and take a look at the fault, which was quickly remedied.
It isn't often that my expectations are exceeded.
 
Yes!!! We called today and they said it's increased but I'm sure it wasn't supposed to happen because aren't we supposed to be at fixed R529.

@Jake45 so far so good only had a problem with the ZTE router which was delivered with the sim, I complaint about the bad speed and they exchange the ZTE with a Huawei router and since then no problem....my only issue is with the upload speed.

Speed Test this morning:
Ping: 15ms
Download: 33.1Mbps
Upload: 1.37Mbps
 
@ahf - saw the increase, but i have never had trouble with my LTE.... got the original package that included the aerial installation on roof.

i also like the fact that i can take the router on holiday to when we go to Balitto, and connect there

Are you able to switch between different bands / frequencies in the router settings (probably under Network Selection or similar), or restricted to only one, and maybe Auto as a 2nd option ?

Also, Rain allows switching between towers when logged into your profile via the website, from what I remember testing, a few years ago. Didn't make any difference in my case, but you can try.

Depends which Huawei model you have, as to who might help. If sent it recently, it's unlikely to be a B818, B535 and certainly not the B525-65a model I have, but let us know & hopefully someone can direct you further.

As for Rain towers, hopefully someone else who's currently signed up (here) can assist you, or perhaps @rain_mobile or @rain_networks .
