Telkom management under the cosh

It is not only the concern of losing their jobs, but also that the company stands to lose hundreds of very experienced managers and specialists, which may harm the company in the long term.

Doubt that bothers them as I suspect they look at purely from a beancounter's perspective.

I wonder what criteria Telkom will use to select those who will stay employed, and those who will get retrenched?
I doubt that competence & ability will be the main criteria, but that the political pressures i.r.o. EE / AA will be

Lets be frank. The colour and lightness/darkness pitch of the skin will be the final determining factors, the lighter your skin the lighter your prospects of being retained in employment! Its the EFFrican way!

And three/four months later they'll be having issues galore with their clients screaming blue murder due to technical issues/logistics/whatever not getting attended to correctly...

I'll stock up on popcorn in the meantime...

And possibly Rennies too, just in case my users will try to skin me! :D

How about getting rid of the guy that sleeps in Maime street daily or the guys that rest at Roodekrans Lapa for hours on weekdays....

I also received it from a connection.

Placement criteria will be based on:
- Suitability of Skills for the role and business capability requirements to drive the strategy
- Demographics, Race, Gender
- Potential both leadership and technical
- Suitable Qualification for the role and relevant experience as per job profile .
(N.B There will be no relaxation of the above elements of the criteria for placement processes so as to ensure consistency.)

If two candidates are equal in all aspects then, yes, EE will decide the successful candidate.

Overall they all get offered VSPs or early retirement from what I understand. Those that know & can take it as they will be fine elsewhere. Very few positions get ring-fenced. So you end up with the people you don't actually want. They've done this several times since the early/mid 2000's. The staff just get fed up with the BS and they leave to the detriment of the company at the end of the day.

You want to deny facts? Do you even know why there are a shortage of skills and the country is in such a mess due to ineptitude?

I guess not as I can see you are in the Cape!

Anything Govt is involved with with colour related.

If Malema can get appointed to the JSC, then you know we in big sh*t. A clown deciding who our future judges will be.
