Competition for Multichoice is a definite must and a good thing, but I do find it ironic that it's going to come from "Telkom". The war might not be on price though, but on package options and content that will be supplied.
Let's hope it will be on content, service (yeah I know it's "Telkom") and price.
If it's not cheaper than the ridiculously expensive DSTV then it will not be a big success. Where would they get the number of subscribers they need? The IPTV better be cheaper than DSTV. But this is SA. OMG, could it be the same price as DSTV - +/-R400pm. What percentage of the population can afford to pay that every month? I hope they get their price right.
