Telkom Mega 100WR Lockup problem

Does anybody else have a problem with their modem where it just locks up? Can't ping it from internal and the ISP shows it drops the ADSL connection even though the lights on the front show it is still connected. An Power Off Power On reboot sorts it out but then one day in the future it does it again

Any ideas? Should I get it swapped for a new one?

Mine has never done that. Mine got wasted when I flashed it then I took ti back to Telkom and swapped it out for a Mega 105WR. Very nice router...basically the same as the Mega 100WR2...but with the latest firmware.

yip mine does that sometimes. usually when theres some kind of power spike or something. i just turn it off and back on and then its fine. still annoying. seems i need a ups..

Yeah - now that you mention the power spike - I find when someone turns the aircon close to the modem on - the dip in power and the dimming of the lights for a split second while the compressor spools up sometimes causes the modem to lockup.....

Maybe you are right - a cheap UPS might do the trick!
