Telkom messing with Netflix , Hulu ???

Using unotelly dynamo

Tried downloading a well seeded torrent , download speed 600 kbps

Netflix and Hulu buffering themselves silly , sometimes not loading

megashare.sh streaming perfectly ....no buffering

I made contact with unotelly support and tried a number of different servers .
A fix i found online suggests an ie reset , which apparently helps even if your main browser is chrome .... dont work !

Is there something i'm not understanding here ?? if megashare.sh streams perfectly and netflix and hulu not , is telkom messing with us ??

must say i have a sneaky suspicion they just might be after the recent talks between them and netflix ??????

I had a problem with Unotelly during the week, changed the server location from Joburg to CapeTown and it started working properly again.

I streamed two movies today on Netflix. Streamed perfectly except towards the end with a slight quality drop. I am on Telkom 4meg, with telkom as my ISP
 
Also been having problems streaming with Unotelly and my Telkom line - going to try server change when I get home.
 
Just remembered for some reason Unotelly did not work on my router, thus I had to set-up the DNS on each device separately.
 
If the router goes off or you restart it, you have to update your IP address via the UnoTelly site
 
Ok well its good to know that some of you guys are streaming without problems, can't be telkom messing with Netflix then. I've tried just about all of unotelly's servers and get the same problem .. changed all the PC's on the network to different DNS servers aswell. ...didn't make any difference, tried the router as well .... had enough ... going to give it a rest for a few days and try again next week, starting to think maybe the 10 meg sync speed is a bit hectic for the old copper down here .. will get them to drop it to 8 and see what happens .... anybody know if telkomsa international bandwidth issues have been resolved ?

IP details?
It used to work fine, until the whole Telkom ADSL problem

You need to update your IP address.
 
i think its telkoms problem they been having over the past week or more with international traffic...
all of my streaming channels on the roku are more or less experiencing the same drop in quality and sometimes not loading at all...netlix amd hulu atleast playing though!

Still get that stupid message.
Interesting though is that Netflix does load on my pc - allthough it's furking slow!

Doesn't load from smarthub on tv though. -> NBPD connection/server error. Please restart Netflix.

I have a 10meg uncapped line and i can't watch anything on Hulu without it constantly buffering. Netflix is ok, the quality just drops every now and then. but Hulu the quality doesn't drop, it just buffers a lot.

how do i drop the quality of hulu on my PS3, hulu site says to push the up arrow d-pad key and select quality options or something like that. I don't have those options. does anybody know how the drop the video quality in Hulu

Based on similar complaints online it seems like part of the problem is Hulu. There is also the Telkom issue if they are your isp which is being dealt with I believe. There is no longer a playback quality setting on the ps3 and I've just noticed that they've removed that option from their website as well. So we all in the same boat :( Must admit that I've been debating cancelling over the last few weeks and just covering it off via torrents (not ideal).
