Telkom Mobile S5

There are some great Iphone deals at TM, but not an Apple fan at all.
Daughter loves her iPhone.

Nice thing is I can finally get rid of her Vodacom contract which I've been unhappy with.

TM deal comes with 2.5 times the data which is more important to youngsters than voice.

Anyone know if TM also suffers from OOB shark?

I'm considering the Smartplan 50 - if/ when the data is depleted, does it:

a. Cap the data usage, and
b. If your data is capped, are you still able to use voice and SMS (on Vodacom you can't)

Hey OP

OK I was in a similar boat in terms of network choice. Ran parallel Sims of mtn (my primary number) and TM but have all but ditched the mtn sim. Tm allows you to freely roam on mtn for voice calls and just check if your package is all network or Tm only data. Neither is tooooo expensive though.

On one of my Lumia 520s that I had for the first month, Nokia's Mix Radio sucked up all the available data due to a bug. The data capped at the end and I was directed to the page asking to load more. Everything else including voice and SMS was working for me.

It does not.

When your data bundle is depleted, you will be taking to the Telkom portal, where you can buy more data on your airtime or credit.

It is extremely easy to buy more data, I have done it a few times before.

When you buy more data does it get added to your monthly debit order or do you have to pay with a credit card?

You have a spending limit, which you define when you get a contract, say R200.

If the amount is within your spending limit, you can add it to your monthly bill, otherwise you must buy it with credit card.
