Telkom Mo'Nice data

Just a quick question - bought a 750MB Campaign Paid Telkom Mobile Data for R 8.50 2 days on *123# this morning to test this feature... Have TelkomSA signal on FreeMe 2GB contract but data usage is deducted from my 2GB and not the 750MB??? Should I only use the Mo'Nice for month end topup after contract data is depleted?
 
@Phish1 - I don't know the direct answer to your question, but I personally would have a 2nd SIM card for Mo'Nice. Just realised that your current SIM might be in your only/primary phone, so inconvenient, but if you either have or get a reasonably priced LTE phone/router then feasible to test a 2nd SIM on that.

I'm considering going for Telkom LTE on a prepaid 40+40 GB (or 60+60) when I finally give up on ADSL, and will have that data loaded on a different SIM to my current 450GB Mo'Nice SIM. At that stage, will get a 2nd router.

I agree. Best way is to separte your data sims so you dont use the wrong bundle. With the networks, the bundle depletion rules are often fuzzy and do not work as expected until its used up and too late.

Yeap! Use up your monthly allocated data 1st before topping up.
 
"Service not available. Please try again later", to be exact.

They better not take my 450GB @ R59 away :sick:

Throughout this week it's been intermittent, especially in the morning. It took my GF like an hour to buy.
 
Same here, 2 days its not working. Says 'connection problem or invalid MMI code'
 
Been getting the issue for the 3rd day now, having to buy bundles from voda which are much more expensive

That sounds miserable. I still have mine and would suffer without it. Telkom has me living a certain internet existence and I've naively led myself to believe it will always be so.

2GB TD @R30 (5days)
4.5GB TD @R64.35 (14days)

Not great :(
 
This is silly. Just as I move my primary number to Telkom...
