No. Contracts are usually bundled with hardware.

If you take a sim only contract you can go post paid month to month. Same price.

For adsl & fibre? No it's the same price.

Also note that the 4Mb/s adsl price also applies to 4Mb/s fibre so if your area is covered by openserve fibre rather go for that. Copper problems become a thing of the past and you have a easy future upgrade path to much higher speeds should you ever need it.
