Telkom MSAN making grating noise?

So this afternoon the big white Telkom MSAN (at least that's what I think it is - big white double box with Telkom logo on it) started making a loud grating noise, and it hasn't stopped in hours.

It sounds a bit like a faulty aircon compressor is inside the box, with metal-on-metal grating. Maybe the box has a built-in cooling fan that's chewing itself up?

Any idea what could be the cause of that noise? All I know is it's going to be a loooooong night for neighbouring residents with that sound 0.o

PS: In case anybody with Telkom sees this and wants to log it, it's half-way down Grand National Boulevard in Milnerton, opposite Ascot Village.

This would be a seriously massive PSU fan by the sounds of it. For comparison it sounds about like a Harley Davidson, parked across the road.

If anyone from Telkom reads this, this is the box number WMEO:86_TWRB_01 Sounds like the fan is coming apart.

Exact same thing happened here a week or two ago in Table View. They fixed it after about 2 days, I'm sure somebody must have called somebody because it was really loud. I was far enough away not to hear it but I'm sure the guy who was living next to it wasn't so lucky
