Telkom nightmare

So here is my story. I am so over telkom and all their excuses. The past 3 months I have been experiencing very high latency in the evenings between 7pm and 12pm and also on weekends whole day and night. I have , after today, contacted telkom 4 times all ready and every time they tell me that the exchange I am connected to ( bellville 3) is overloaded in the evenings and weekends. Today a technician said that he is going to change or switch my dslam to another thing ( i have no idea what this is but that is what happened) after the technician changed the dslam my ping now is still unchanged. This is so bull****. As a gamer this is the most frustrating thing ever. I am paying for a service and not receiving it. The line is fine, the router is fine. Can somebody anybody please give me any advise what to do from now on to ensure a fix or something. Cant telkom upgrade me at no additional cost so that i actually receive what i am paying for? I have used a wage account and the ping stays the same. Telkom also told me that if i changed isp the problem will persist because the line will not change and they use the same line. Am i going to have to endure this bul**** until telkom realizes that they need to upgrade the exchange? Sorry for the rage but this is pathetic. I have asked several times to be put through to a manager and the manager said he will call me back but never did.

Please give me advise on what to do next. I cant take it anymore:mad:
 
It sounds to me like you're on a Telkom Exchange that is congested, in which case there's nothing that you can do, besides moving to a differenct town/waiting for Telkom to upgrade their infrastructure.

In my opinion, Telkom should just downgrade all those congested 10Mbps Exchanges to 1Mbps.
