Telkom payment overdue...

Is your Telkom payment ever late. Well I thought they give you a week after the due date. But the lady told me 2 days and they cut it off. Did it change?

Yep, I lost my phone bill once and just vaguely remembered R700, so I paid that and the line got cut 3 days later. The total bill was R702.59. Quick to cut your line, years to install it.

I often only used to pay when I got the SMS and bizarre automated phone call

It's about 1-2 weeks after due date

I don't have a phone connected to my line, but I think my payment was a bit late aswell, though it would've been fine if I paid the R2 extra.

Yeah dude ... Telkom is worse than SARS......
They will disconnect your line for R20 outstanding ... and charge you a reconnection fee ...

This is just one thing that they are good at
Rule #1 PaY Telkom on time and what the invoice state ...
Rule #2 See rule #1 even if your invoice is wrong

I have left my bill unpaid for 2 months before (went overseas for business) and it was fine. I was just charged interest on the overdue accounts.

Maybe their policy is, someone needs to answer the phone and listen to that reminder...

But 2 months is a long time...
