The telkom usage tool: https://secure.telkomsa.net/titracker/
and the saix user stats: http://userstats.adsl.saix.net/
are both giving me incorrect usage figures.

Telkom Usage Tool says I used 1.3GB yesterday.

SAIX User Stats says

I have open "What to do when you suspect Bandwidth Theft" in the other tab. However I don't actually think it's bandwidth theft. I mean those stats are impossible, right? Right?

Just to update.
Called Telkom.
Assisted help desk technician is finding information.
Then listened to how telkom is AWESOME and RIGHT and was told I definitely did those stats. 2GBs/2hrs on 256k

Maybe my pc was lonely and switched itself on and download something while I was away...

So I hear Afrihost is good...

Things like that piss me off so much, fsck telkom.

to check if some is has stolen some bandwith go to https://secure.telkomsa.net and log in select Audit Trail(All Usage) and the period in question on this page look at NASPORT if the value changes then someone is connecting on your username at a diff location

NASPORT is your port number at the exchange since u only use one port any deviation would mean a connection at another location

Thanks for the help, I didn't know that.

and yeah, different value for the stolen bandwidth.
Sadly help desk tech acted like NASPORT was a mythical creature.

Oh well, lesson learned.

well its not like the tech is being dumb nasport is not common knowledge besides they are by law not allowed to check if there is bandwidth theft or not the dude could loose his job if gives this info out u must send a mail to [email protected] and they should be able whats what

ps I myself don't understand y its illegal for the telkom tech to give this info but that the way it is
