According to the Telkom site, the Smartplan 100 includes 150MB *per month* and an *additional* 1 Gig.

Does anyone know if the additional 1G is a once-off, or is it an additional 1G every month? On top of the monthly 150MB?

The 150mb is what comes with your simcard. The 1gb is what comes with your device. It is recurring for as long as you have the plan. You will get a sms when you have 99mb left and when its finished. The simcard data will be used first. Then when that is finished you will use the 1gb.

Also be aware that once you've switched to month to month that 1 gig extra is billed.

Just checked Telkom's website again (I'm signing up for a new contract within the following days), and the Smartplan 100 no longer offers 150MB? It only states the additional 1G. Does anyone know why? Have they changed the terms or is it just an error on the website? ...................Cause, if the Smartplan 100 no longer includes the 150MB, at the end of the 24 month contract, I'd be left with no data????

The Smartplan 100 normally comes with 100megs only Network Data, think the 150meg was a fluke on their website.

Oh lordy lord. What to do, what to do.....? Their prices are completely off though.... The A3 is more expensive than the A7???????????????

Ugh. Cant understand how these operators expect one to operate a smartphone with none to almost-none data.

Does Telkom offer the Smartplan 100 on a sim only basis?
Basically 100min and 1gb for a flat rate of what you would normally pay when you contract expires and you go month to month.

I checked in store about a month ago, and they said the sim only deal does not include the promo 1gb data. The 1gb is only included with devices. But I'm not sure if they knew what they were talking about.

They are correct, you only get the 1GB with a device, also once the contract is finished you pay the extra 99 a month

And I do believe sim only contracts are for data only, not both?

Smartplan is for both, i have two. One Smartplan 50, R50 get's me 500MB and 60min. Other R100, get's my wife 110min and 1GB. Also free Telkom Wifi that I don't readlly use.

How old are these contracts and did you get them with the devices?
