Further issues that needed to be decided on by the CCMA include worker shares in Telkom, an increase in leave capping, an increase in family responsibility leave and a bigger amount paid out for long service.

Guess what.. its 13 March 2006 and still snokol. Nada, nothing , no adsl squat.
&%^$%^ useless people working there IMHO. I have phoned so many times, I probably spend 5 hours in total listening to their stupid music.
Each time, the call center incompetent employee tells me someone will phone me in 24 hours.. HAHAHA.. 1 week later , Nothing. Phone them again... yes sir... 13 March they will phone me... guess what..
ughh...
Can someone please give me a phone number/ email to some manager that might give a flying nut about Telkom's customers?
dualmeister said:I totally agree. As much as I bash "Telkom" the institution the guys on the ground rock in my experience !
For example the guy that installed my ADSL went the extra mile for sure. Even though my area is not officially "ADSL compatible" we managed to get then to make a plan for us. It took the techie 3 hours just to install our line as he had to route the connection through a number of boxes or something.
Once there he tested the line and told me the electric fence surrounding the security complex I stay in causes major hassles with the Telkom lines. He made a plan to tune the line somehow so that the fense does not interfere with the signal. Well all I can say is my 384K line runs like a 512K line from day one. Being 1 of about 10 people on the exchange also helps![]()
I hope the same dude comes to transfer my line
It must be terrible working for Telkom, becuase no matter how good you are people will aways associate you as being a "Telkom emplyee".
BTTB said:The Telkom Techies were working on the poles on my properties today, which feeds a whole block of houses at the back.
Now I haven't had a telephone since 14h30.
Reported it to 10217 and got a reference number.
I even sent a staff member over to the local exchange to tell the techies they have made a booboo.
The Techie claimed he was going to look into it.
I am not holding thumbs. It is almost "chiela" now.
No phone until tomorrow then?
On the bright side it is going to be a cheaper bill this month.![]()
I have taken note of the time and date and I will analyse my itemised billing next month with a fine tooth comb.ic said:I hope the use of your line by another customer, does not also mean that you get charged for their usage over the 24 hour period [shouldn't but it is Telkodemonopolies after all].
I would insist on an analogue rental refund for 1 day of not being able to use your line, and same goes for the ADSL connectivity rental - refund...
