Received SMS message:

Recharge before 7pm 17Nov & score BIG on Monday. Dial *123#, see what to recharge and Telkom will multiply that with the highest number of goals this weekend. What goals? And what is TKO?

Response from USSD *123#

1) Recharge with R5 or more.
2) 100MB All net data @R8 (14 days)
3) 20 All net minutes @R10 (14 days)

Not clear, are they going to multiply taking from my airtime R8/R10 or multiply 14 days? :)

Have to recharge anyway, will see. Otherwise I wouldn't bother.
 
TKO is the soccer tournament sponsored by telkom. The semi finals are being held this weekend. TKO is the telkom knock out.

Anything you buy before 7pm tomorrow will be multiplied by the highest number of goals scored by a team in either match.

Thanks, but 'anything' maybe be wrong, perhaps only these options from the list.

Yes, I should have phrased it better. Anything from the list.

Also, I’m not sure if the options vary from person to person or daily or…

It sems to me I can chose only one option from the list, but I wanted to purchase airtime and then 100MB data from this airtime. Will start from airtime and see what happens. :)
 
Recharged R100 on Friday around 5pm, as I needed it for data bundle, then entered option #1, it said "processing and will response in few minutes". It didn't.

After an hour - lets try #2. 8c/MB is not bad (while it costs 4c/MB on the Internet Starter Pack and is valid for 30 days). OK, was purchased, so I did it 5 times for total 500MB.

On Saturday started receiving regular SMS messages "Recharge R5 or more...". every 6 or 7 minutes a new message. When going to bed I switched off the phone, it was already 70 SMS messages. Server was continuing bombarding, as today morning when I switched phone on another 50 messages arrived...

I'm probably sitting 35 sms now. Recharge with R5 blah blah blah.
 
Just cleaned up a box with 34 new SMS messages. I don't have any R5 voucher available. :(

How are soccer players doing a job? :)

Well, the best team has scored total 7 goals. :)

I recharged R100 on Telkom More price plan, received R100 extra free airtime (with expiry on 24th - which I never use) and some 2GB WiFi bundle (I keep forgetting about)

I used R40 of artime for 500MB TKO data (5*R8 - 100MB each). How is my score?

Used some data yesterday, so only 455MB left (exp. 14 days), plus I have 7*500MB for 3 days of crazy streaming TV shows. :)

Nice. I had to finally take the sim out the sms I get is crazy damn.
 
Telkom disaster. Loaded yesterday new airtime and purchased 75MB one-day bundle R6.50 around 5pm. Still had some data on other bundle that expire later, but this bundle was depleting instead of one-day bundle. In result one-day bundle did last for 7 hours (unused) and expired at midnight!
 
I scored 350mb all networks bundles. Hmmm
