I hope the government steps in and takes more positive action - like clarifying thier current "turn around", otherwise, from a business perspective, we're going to get left behind.
I was reading an article about broadband in small US towns and how it's been likened to the railroads of the last century.
If your town wasn't connected by the railroad, it dies economically.
In the US currently, if your town isn't connected by broadband, the same happens.
When an entire country is missing the option of affordable broadband, well, we're in trouble, because quite simply affordable widely available broadband is changing business at an alarming rate.
We're being left behind because of Telkom - one company, reaping incredible profits, holds us all back. It's time they ploughed those billions into building an infrastructure capable of delivering cheap broadband to middle-income earners and above.
But then, there's a government stake in the Telkom profits ...
