Telkom Undervalued on JSE !

My main reason for holding on to my Telkom shares all these years (got them at R28 when they listed), was for the day they unbundled Vodacom.

Now I am waiting for their results day on 22 June to see how they plan to move forward (3G, Multilinks, Data Centres, etc) and if they declare any dividend or special dividend.

Then I will decide to keep/sell.

10 Reasons why you must keep your Shares and keep buying at lower prices.

1. Telkom has paid the Best Dividends in the South African Telecoms History. NO and i Mean No other Telecom Company has paid out as much as Telkom Did.

2. They have a mobile Cellular Licence with 3G & GSM Spectrum.

3. They are rolling out Mobile Towers on a strict Budget ( No overspending )

4. They will have a very good 3G mobile network in 2 years Time which OFF Course will be Freehold.

5. They are investing heavily in Fibre Throughout the Country without making a big deal of it.

6. They will be and are the ONLY providers of ADSL for 3 years more ( Monopoly )

7. They provide the Backhaul to all the mobile Operators in South Africa.
80% of mobile Voice from the mobile operators is Trafficked over Telkom's Network.

8. Telkom provides the Best Consistent Data speeds on mobile and Fixed line in South Africa.

9. Telkom provides very Competitive data rates as compared to all the other operators.

10. Other International Operations will soon start to bear Financial Fruit.

Oh i almost forgot to mention they are the only provider in the Country that can drop prices anytime without Affecting the Bottom Line.

With the Current Customer Service levels being provided by the mobile operators and Neotel. I would say Telkom is Currently on Top of things in South Africa.

In 2 years time Telkom Mobile's Network will be worth much more than Cell-C's Network.

Hoping the share price will dip a little more then i would buy more.:)

Quite the contrary - it would go down...

Dont think so, since all the Telkom subscribers are moving to Axess and Neotel.. lol:p
In otherwords, telkom's loss is mostly based on the loss of customers.
Lotsa Love and huggles

I don't think Telkom's future is so bright, with a CEO that got a package of 19.1 Million last year, the employees start leaving the company to look for something better. Top mangement gets the cream, we, the technicians, the guys that do your ADSL installations, only gets the cup to look at after is is emptied. we even have to perform more than 120% everyday!!. Who can keep onto something like that.

OuWil, so how much do you get paid in comparison to the state doctors who have studied for 7 years and save lives every day? And all your other benefits....

Their salary and benefits is lower than the entry level technician's basic salary!
