Telkom VDSL: minimum and maximum speeds detailed

Wow, so much attention to a product that doesn't exist!
 
Telkom should upgrade the adsl2+ exchanges speed to 20mbs
 
Which areas will get this? Without that information this article is useless....

YES YES and YES again.

Sad part is this is only a software setting on the equipment they are using, I will most likely be able to sync at 24Mbps with my stats, only 700m from the exchange :(
 
Dammit that's a flippen lot of hype for such a niche product. :mad:
 
This product is what 4MB was years ago, the hype is good. The more it gets promoted the more people will get it and the more the price will come down.

Certain people will tell you it is niche because the infrastructure is too outdated to cope with it. The moment their infrastructure is capable of handling it, they will turn around and say it is a basic household necessity.
 
Why are there always so many threads/news articles about the same topic ??? :mad: ....

Is there some sort of competition about who can write the best article that I might not know about? :whistle::p

That is quite normal, even by international standards.

If you can't do an HD video conference at 2 or 3mbps then you have either cheap or bad video conferencing equipment/software.

And what are you worried about ? going on the 10mbps deployment, you won't be able to make use of the vdsl services for at least 3 - 4 years.
