Very decent of Telkom to remind it's consumers of this unsavory practice. Anyone seen this message in any of the newspapers or was this simply a press statement to gender some holiday goodwill?

I heard theres another scam going around. Some company is selling rediculously overpriced bandwidth to customers that have no choice but to pay. They make use of elaborate cover-up stories to disguise the fact that they have to do so.

Says Thokozani Mvelase, Executive for TARPS (Telkom Assets and Revenue Protection Services): “During this time of the year, fraudsters will increase their attempts to try and prey on the unsuspecting customers, leaving them out of pocket.”

Is that an admission from Telkodemonopolies that these fraudsters are Telkodemonopolies employees and accumulated their skills in the beast's 'How to ripoff customers' internal training programme?
