Telkom Webmail not working

I have been trying to get into my Telkomsa.net Mailbox for days now, but keep getting the following message:

It's not fun, but start changing all your accounts (bank, streaming, social etc) over to a proper email service like Gmail or Outlook.
 
Thank you. Problem is I have important mails going to this mailbox and not being able to access it is very frustrating. On top of it, I am working in Kenya and it just makes matters worse.

Hi Andre, I am having the same issue. Can you please guide me on how to set up my Telkom email with Outlook?
I tried the POP3 route with the servers I found on the web, but not working.
Do you use the same username and password you used on the Telkomsa Webmail page that is not working anymore?

don,t even try the outlook email s . when you attached a send item from outlook the email does not go through. this is been a problem fo 3 week and telkom cannot solve the problem

Your lack of understanding is a problem.

Telkom and other South African ISP's (Like Mweb) only allow sending of email via their servers from IP's within their network.

So if you're on Afrihost, trying to send email via Telkom unauthenticated SMTP servers then it won't work. If you're trying to send email, while on a Telkom internet connection, then it will work.

As others have pointed out, the easiest solution is to move to a proper email provider.
 
I've had this problem for weeks. I can access my mails using windows live mail and on my phone mail app - but not on zimbra/webmail. This is only a problem because my Mailbox Size is close to its Quota, so I desparately need to get into webmail to delete old mails and free up space. I've phoned telkom and after half an hour the technician admitted that he too could not access the webmail page with my username and password (even after changing it and authenticating it).
 
Someone I know phone telkom and they solved it.

I am having a similar issue with the SMTP. It was working for ages and only started giving an issue now over the past month or so.

Is it possible to advise how they have the SMTP configured?

Previously we had been using smtp.telkomsa.net with authentication by using the same email login and password on Port 25.

Previously we had been using smtp.telkomsa.net with authentication by using the same email login and password on Port 25.
While you struggle to gain access to Telkom email service, you can make sure that all new emails reach a proper working inbox.

Change everyone over to Gmail or Outlook today.

And good luck getting to the old mail.

He phoned them 3 times, after the 3rd person it was solved.
