Telkom WiMax continue

Glad to hear that it is not going to end! Don't understand why this does not in fact become more widespread? Telkom spends millions on replacing stolen cables :eek:

I recently looked at vodacom's coverage map for different wireless technologies in our area: 3G, iBurst, Sentec, WiFi and WIMAX. According to the maps, WIMAX had the BEST penetration/coverage of all! Perhaps a knowledgable forumite can explain why this technology is NOT being promoted more aggressively :confused:
 
i apllied for a fixed line and after 4 odd months i was told i might not get a line cause there is none availeble, i applied for wimax and waited another 4 months and left the other line also after waited 6 months for wimax and nearly a year for the other i cancelled the lot. i now surf telkom free thanks to easywebb

Telkom is slow.
 
I also waited 6 months for my WiMax to get installed and then finally got to cancel my really crap ADSL connection. Was kinda irritated when I phoned Telkom last week to be told by the person on the other end they have dropped WiMax so I could not get a second WiMax connection :-/

Wonder when they will be allowing ppl to order WiMax now again? Sure its going to be another long wait when they eventually decide to allow orders.
 
I have now waited 3 months to have my wimax moved. Called telkom, Wimax is in a freeze with no date of continuation. Don't hold your breath to get wimax from telkom.
 
hi iv also been waitin for adsl line for 6 months. went 2 apply for wimax sorry thatz been stopped...adsl line i cant get due 2 infrastructure tns plz help me on how u got internet?
