Telkom wont fix my line

Can anyone please tell me how to get telkom to fix my phone line. I have no dial tone. The line is dead.

I have logged a fault. And asked asked and asked to get it fixed. I also asked my isp for help. The fault has been escalated. Ive been promised a tech would call. I'm told there is a back log and i must wait. Its been about 8 days now.

How do i get my line fixed?

Took 11 Days for my line to get fixed. Unfortunately being the Holiday season, it makes things worse.
 
Took 3 weeks for them to "fix" mine. And it still isn't fixed properly now, 6 weeks later. Good luck
 
This is a warning for anyone who is thinking of renewing their ADSL or looking to put ADSL in at their home with Telkom. DON'T there is no service from them at all. Rather go with Neotel or get LTE from CellC, Vodacom or MTN you will be much better off. I've been battling to get my line fixed since December and they keep telling me that it has been escalated and that someone will come and fix it. That was promised last week Monday and nothing has happened. I rely on my ADSL for my work and it is having a huge impact on my work and also my family life as I can't work from home and I'm spending late nights and also the spent the whole weekends at the office. Spoke to my neighbour last night and her call was logged after mine and it was resolved last week Tuesday we live right next door to each other surely they could've fixed both at the same time. I think I should cancel and move to LTE or sign up with Neotel. I've also seen on their Facebook page that they are deleting the complaints that people are posting so that people can't see how bad their service is.
I have now lodged a complaint with ICASA lets see what happens.
 
Be assured they will take your money at the end of the month thou even if you have not had internet for the whole month.
 
But when it works, it really works lekker! Some areas have good infrastructure, others is just prestick and tattered copper strands flung about.
