So my Telkom line running from the pole outside (to the house) is sagging and my line inside the house (running to the wall jack) has now broken due to it being really old and brittle. This was reported last week (Aug. 1st) to Telkom and was followed up another two times. Effectively I have no voice or ADSL for obvious reasons. Is there a way that I can go completely Telkom free at a similar monthly price and which includes both voice and ADSL? I'm paying around R600 pm. Their service is absolutely :sick: :sick: :mad: :twisted: :cry: :sick:
 
If its only the point in your house that is broken then fix the line yourself. There are not enough juice in those line to make you shock, just remember what colour goes where.
 
So you're paying line rental for mere relic of the Apartheid era it seems.
