TelkomInternet Capped January 2007

I was able to download just 11.1GB on my 3GB telkom account before being capped. After being capped I can only access the telkom.co.za and the telkomsa.net websites (and their associated links). All other sites are blocked.

As far as I can tell, the only change to their policy is that you can still authenticate after being capped. You can't go anywhere though.

According to Telkom's (very relaxed) capping policy, hard capping only occurs if the average for all users reaches the assigned cap limit.
Some 3Gb account holders dont even reach 500Mb per month, as they only use it for e-mail and the occasional browse, enabling other users can carry on unrestricted for a long time.
Looks more like a "shared" policy of total bandwidth.
AFAIK it is only the 2Gb accounts that get hard capped once the limits have been reached.

Would you guy advise not using your 3GB cap, and then on the last day go ape (If I really wanted to download stuff), or is it ok to go over and use like 6GB the entire month, without doing any heavy downloading on the last day?

I'm more worried about being capped before month end and my dad kicking my ass. Will I get capped if I hit 4GB on lets say the 20th?

Thanks
