TelkomInternet Capped Users For April 2007

3gig Telkom account. Capped today, 20th April at 10.9gigs... Not tooo shabby... Gonna get myself a webafrica prepaid just to finish those incomplete downloads!
 
i got capped last week... can remember when exactly, but it was just over 8Gb.. not too bad for 3Gb account!
 
3gig account, capped at 6.2 gigs... bought an extra gig moving to OpenWeb uncapped at the end of the month
 
Whatever happened to that nonsense about local is uncapped???

Are you guys still capped locally?? I have 134meg left on our MWEB account so I wont be online for a while :(

Dam one game of bf2 and I already chowed over 30 meg. I hate being limited
 
I was capped locally as well. When I phoned Telkom to ask about this, the technical support said it a "new policy" and that local was capped as well, the only sites you can access when capped are the telkom.net and 3 of the major banks websites.

So much for Telkom following the rules. Whats new
 
I'm on 11.4GB but it looks like I'm thottled now. Browsing still works, its just slower

Uploaded: 3.6GB
Downloaded: 7.8GB

Do these figures include any overuse abuse.. i.e extreme downloads in the last 24 hours?
 
Doesn't anyone here want to hack into Telkom and mess up their billing system :) PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE :p

I would if I knew how.

Although I don't know if I really think it's a good way to handle it, Im really quite surprised no-one has ever tried to find a way to mess up Telkom's system. Is it at all possible, I wonder :)

Criminal offense no doubt :(

reading these forums on how people go over there cap limit by gigs is tempting me to change even more now
is this soft policy like this for everybody or is it depends on that group you in ?
