TelkomInternet - Capped Users for July 2007

Got capped on the 16th on 1.097GB at 00:01, was on 0.934GB the previous day.

Strangely, I was contacted yesterday by a lady calling herself "Granny" from Telkom, informing me that there is a problem with my Do1 account. AFIK, I had no issues. DL speeds were good, connection was stable, etc, but alas, she was adamant.

She had to recreate my account with different credentials and a password (she migrated the mail in my old mailbox to the new one - how nice of her), and mailed me the details to my office mailbox and I set it up yesterday evening.

The best part - this morning my usage on the new account is 0.034GB, so yeehaa! Don't say that Telkom doesn't give away anything free - albeit
 
MrH - Do3 is full speed till you reach the hard cap. Which was an impressive 6 on the dot for me this month as per the Telkom email.

LOL... Check your account at the end of the month...:p

I was on the do1 and then I upped the cap to 2gig and the line speed to 512 and my usage is now on just under 4GB for the month... Probably get capped tomorrow...

Thanks for the reply as I was wondering if I was going to have to purchase a 1GB voucher to get through the month, on the other hand no harm in keeping it for emergency backup.
 
am gonna get capped in a few hours! am currently at 3.7 gigs on my 2 gig account.better get the last few albums in for the month :(
 
Yeheee, got to 1.265 Gigs on Do1. Dunnow when I reached the gig but I got capped today at 00:01 exactly.

Does this mean that the cap is only reviewed at midnight then?
 
Any idea how telkom caps work?? I switched my router off by mistake and when it came on i was capped??? was at 4.5GB on a 2Gb account!

Your guess is as good as ours.

Same thing happened to me. Had a power outage and when I tried to reconnect I was capped - at 3.3GB on 2GB account. <sigh>
 
I got 6GB on a 3GB thingy......got cut on Friday.........and yeah the new allocation is at 12 mid night tonight......:D

No - I got capped this afternoon whilst in mid session.

There we have it! Collusion between Eskom and Telkom.
 
Managed just over 6GB from the 3GB account, never got capped as I finished my download at 23:58:D
 
So you guys get 6GB on Do3?

If this was my only account, would the best way to handle it be to stay under 3GB until the 29th/30th, then max out downloads on the last day of the month?
